Vaughan created distinct identities for lots of bands but for me its his work for The Pixies and Gus Gus that stands out.

His style of strange imagery with distinctive typography made a big impression on me when I was at college. It was the first design style I really wanted to emulate and gave me a lot of inspiration.

Famous for his collaborations with Alfred Hitchcock, Otto Preminger and Martin Scorsese. His film posters look simple yet their vivid colours and hand drawn style catches the imagination.

It would have definitely made me want to go and see it the cinema (if I was around then!) and that’s the point isn’t it.
